My dream consists of several characters, all of which, all of us are in this house, together, but me, and my mom are not part of the family. We’re just their neighbors or friends, whatever you would call that. So, this house, it’s weird because it makes our characters not ourselves. Like, if the female lead is supposed to be the female lead, no, she’s not. She’s not herself. It’s someone else. And then there’s this camera, I don’t know what it is but I think it’s a CCTV, I’m not sure. So, what it does is record things inside the house right? But no. It does not. It’s recordings shows the previous week instead of this week. Remember, the house is still new. No past. So, it’s supposed to be just this week not last week. What’s weirder is that the recordings from the past week are the people or the owners of the house. The newlywed couple and the female lead’s mother.
Dreams involving houses often symbolize the self or personal identity, with different rooms or areas representing various aspects of the dreamer’s life or psyche. In your dream, the house appears to represent a shared space, but the presence of your character and your mother as outsiders indicates a sense of not fully belonging or feeling disconnected from certain relationships or situations.
The fact that the characters are not themselves could suggest feelings of confusion or uncertainty about your own identity or role in a particular situation. You might be grappling with expectations or perceptions about who you should be versus who you feel you truly are.
The CCTV camera is a powerful symbol of surveillance, oversight, and the desire for control. That it records events from the previous week rather than the present day may indicate a preoccupation with the past or with memories that don’t align with your current experiences. The house being new yet containing recordings of past events might suggest feelings of nostalgia or unresolved issues related to previous relationships or experiences, particularly concerning the newlywed couple and the female lead’s mother. This can hint at feelings of judgment or scrutiny about how these relationships develop and how they might affect you.
Overall, this dream suggests themes of identity, belonging, and the tension between past and present. You may need to reflect on your relationships and how they impact your self-perception. It could also be an invitation to explore feelings of acceptance and connection in your life.
